Many modern motherboards require an 8-pin ATX12V power connector to supply high-performance processors. Especially in the server area and dual-board these are indispensable. Not the power supply should have an appropriate connector, an adapterprovides the solution. This model of Akasa is connected via a 6-pin PCIe to the power supply.
Also of course the reverse usage is possible to provide an additional graphics cardpowered by an unnecessary motherboard connector.
